Dear Bundle-Track DOS Users,
Upgrading your old Bundle-Track system can bring
real rewards.
As you might imagine, while the early DOS versions
have been hard at work in facilities like yours, we have been
hard at work refining Bundle-Track and expanding its abilities
to be of ever-greater service to our customers. By moving off
your unsupported DOS system into the modern-day Bundle-Track,
you'll put your mission critical systems on a more stable foundation
and bring within reach a new set of tools designed to improve
productivity both in the payroll office and on the sewing floor.
Here are some features that may be of particular interest to you.
- Time-based production
standards. Whereas money-based standards require ongoing
maintenance to keep up with economic concerns, time-based standards
(the 100% efficient time standard for each operation)
can be set once and for all, based purely on engineering. To
keep pay rates up to date, payroll managers simply maintain
a handful of $/hour base
rates that convert earned time into earned money. (Bundle-Track
Network Edition supports both
Time Standards and Money Standards. Bundle-Track Desktop
Edition supports only Time Standards.)
- Department-specific labor costing. The new
Bundle-Track makes sure that all worker activity is charged
to a Department, so you can easily assess labor costs by department.
And since you may define Departments any way you wish, you can
group costing any way you wish.
- Training Curves. Network
Edition can vary split-incentive factors according to worker
experience on a given job, automatically shifting the balance
from hourly to piecerate as the worker logs more hours on that
job.
- Ticket Splitting. For those cases where a worker
is unable to finish a bundle, Bundle-Track now allows you to
split a ticket and register the number of units completed thus
far. The same ticket remains live and scannable, but represents
only the remaining unit quantity.
- Import and Export interfaces. In addition to
the built-in export for passing gross pay to ADP's net payroll
service, Bundle-Track Network Edition
can be fitted with custom
interfaces to eliminate the human efforts and error rates
involved in passing data into and out of Bundle-Track. For example,
it can be made to import data from your Time and Attendance
system, your HR system, your Engineering system; and to export
data to your net payroll system, your General Ledger.
If your office is currently processing any aspect
of payroll preparation by hand or with spreadsheets, it's very
likely that the modern Bundle-Track system can completely eliminate
that excess overhead.
As you consider the process of upgrading your
Bundle-Track system, please keep in mind that we offer full configuration
services. We can extract data from your current DOS system and
migrate it into the modern architecture so that what you receive
from us is a new system loaded and ready to go. We would complete
the majority of our work offsite, loading your database, configuring
your pay policy, and engineering any interfaces. For the final
steps of installation, training, and configuration refinements,
we can either visit your site for a few days, or deliver these
services by email and phone. We expect you will be very pleased
with the result.
We thank you once again for the continued
opportunity to serve you. We are confident that you will continue
to be delighted with our products and services, and look forward
to a long and fruitful relationship with you. Should you have
any questions, please call me at 617-556-4003 x243.
Sincerely,
Josh Dobbelaar
