Troubleshooting: Tickets
unchanged by Routing
edits
Existing Routings are not affected by upsteam edits.
When you create a Lot, that Lot imports a copy of the specified
Product's routing. Thereafter, there is no connection between the
Lot's Routing and the Product's Routing, so if you make changes
to the Product's Routing, those changes do not affect Routings in
existing Lots. To get those Product Routing changes into a Lot,
you either have to make a new Lot, or edit an existing Lot's Routing.
Similarly, when you create a Cut, that Cut makes a copy of its
parent Lot's Routing and thereafter has no connection to the Lot's
Routing; if you make changes to a Lot's Routing, those changes do
not affect Routings in any existing Cuts. But whereas Lot Routings
can be edited, you cannot edit a Cut's Routing. To get a Lot's Routing
changes into a Cut, you must create a new Cut.
