If yours is a Symbol Technologies scanner from the LS-1900 series, you'll want it configured to automatically input an ENTER after each data capture.

You can enable this option by scanning each of the bar codes shown below in the specified order.

The new configuration will be written to the scanner's flash memory and all data captures thereafter will be followed by an ENTER command.
