Server Manager
(also known as InterBase Manager)
InterBase Server Manager is the user tool for starting and stopping
the InterBaseŠ 6 Relational Database Management
System.
Opening InterBase Server Manager
- Either of these paths should work:
>> Settings >> Control Panel >> InterBase
Manager.
>> Programs >> InterBase ... >> InterBase
Server Manager.
- One of the following links may work for you: (If asked, click
'Open from current location.')
- You may also use
>> Find or
>> Search to locate the file 'ibmgr.cpl'
and then make a shortcut for easier access in the future.

Closing InterBase Server Manager
- Click the upper-right X button.
Starting the Server
- Open InterBase Server Manager.
- Check the Status area:
- If it indicates 'InterBase Server is currently Running',
then it's already started.
- If it indicates 'InterBase Server is currently Stopped',
then click Start.
Tip: If you want the Server to start automatically when
your computer is turned on, set the Startup Mode option at the top
of the panel to Automatic.

- Open InterBase Server Manager.
- Check the Status area:
- If it indicates 'InterBase Server is currently Stopped',
then it's already stopped.
- If it indicates 'InterBase Server is currently Running',
then click Stop.

Settings for Bundle-Track Clients
On machines that host only Bundle-Track Clients, not the database,
the InterBase Server Manager should be set to Manual Startup Mode:
- Open InterBase Server Manager.
- Check the Status area:
- If it indicates 'InterBase Server is currently Running',
then click Stop.
- Check the Startup Mode area:
- If it indicates 'Automatic', then click 'Manual'.
- Close InterBase Server Manager.
