Setup: Reinstalling InterBase

InterBaseŠ 6 Relational Database Management System is the database system underlying Bundle-Track versions 3.6 and later.

If it is determined that your Bundle-Track Server machine requires a reinstallation of InterBase, we suggest that you uninstall and then reinstall InterBase as follows:

1. If you don't have a Bundle-Track install package, contact support to get one.
    
2. Direct all Bundle-Track users to exit Bundle-Track.
    
3. Use Windows Add/Remove Programs to remove InterBase 6.
    
4. Start the Bundle-Track install package.
   • DO NOT LET THE INSTALLER RUN ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
     We are going to install only the InterBase portion.
     Please follow these instructions closely.
      
     
5. At the Welcome screen, click Next.
    
6. At the License screen, click Agree.
    
7. At the InterBase Destination screen, click Next.
    
8. At the InterBase Select screen, select Next.
    
9. At the Ready to Install screen, select Next.
    
10. At the ODBC Components screen (if it appears), uncheck all boxes, then click Next.
     
11. At the LaborMetrix License screen, click CANCEL.
     
12. At the Install dialog, click EXIT SETUP.
     
13. At the Rollback dialog, select NO.
     
14. Confirm that you can now find InterBase in the Start menu under Programs / InterBase 6 ...
     
15. Register the database in IB Console:
    
    1. Start IB Console: >> Programs >> InterBase 6 (the name may be longer) >> IBConsole. 
    2. Register the Server. Click here for the procedure.
    3. Register the database. Click here for the procedure.
