Troubleshooting: Files
on Desktop
Symptom: Bundle-Track is creating files on your desktop.
Cause: Typically, this indicates that you are launching
Bundle-Track from a shortcut that is not set to start Bundle-Track
in its own directory.
Resolution 1: Correct the shortcut's 'Start In' directory:
- Right-click on the problematic shortcut icon and select Properties.
- In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab.
- If the 'Start In' field is blank, type in the path of your Bundle-Track
directory.
- Click OK to close the Properties window.
- Start Bundle-Track with that shortcut to test.
If that doesn't solve the problem, try Resolution 2 below.
Resolution 2: Re-create the shortcut in the following reliable
manner:
- Right-click on the problematic shortcut icon and select Properties.
- In the Properties window, click Find Target to open an Explorer
window on the directory in which the executable itself resides.
- Minimize the Explorer window.
- Close the shortcut's Properties window.
- Delete the problematic shortcut from the Desktop.
- Return to the Explorer window and find the executable (either
BTNetwork or BTDesktop).
- Right-click on the executable and select Create Shortcut.
- Find the new shortcut. (You may need to scroll to the bottom
of the Explorer window.)
- Drag the new shortcut onto the Desktop.
- Start Bundle-Track with that shortcut to test.
