DB Maint.: Moving,
Copying, or Renaming a Database
DANGER! You can corrupt your
live database if you do not stop the
InterBase Server as detailed below. Please follow this procedure
closely.

Process
The following procedure applies to Bundle-Track versions 3.6 and
above. Perform the following steps:
- Instruct all Bundle-Track users to exit Bundle-Track and inform
all users that the database will be down momentarily.
- Stop the InterBase Server.
- If relocating, do this on both the source and destination
machines.
- Rename or copy or relocate the database file.
- Start the InterBase Server.
- If relocating, do this only on the destination machine.
- If you renamed or relocated the database file, do the
following on each Client workstation:
- Run Bundle-Track Links to update
the database connections.
- Tell the user of that workstation that they may use Bundle-Track
again.
