Typically, this error indicates a Crystal Reports .dll version
conflict.
Use the Windows' Find tool to search for files matching "crpe*DLL"
to locate all Crystal Reports DLL files on the machine. (This will
find any file beginning with "crpe" and ending with "DLL"
no matter what comes between them.)
Bundle-Track installs and uses crpe32.dll, version 8.0.0.421. (You
can find version information by right-clicking on the file name
and reviewing its properties). If there are other crpe*DLL files
on the machine, you may encounter the "Error 525 Unable to
load report" error, and you may need to remove those other
files to solve the problem. BUT WAIT!!! ...
DO NOT REMOVE any DLL file until you are sure it is not needed
by for some other application! You might break one of your other
programs.
- Does this machine have any version of Crystal Reports? Versions
8.x should present no trouble, but other versions can.
- Does this machine have any other software that presents reports?
They may use Crystal Reports DLL files just like Bundle-Track
does.
If you are unsure whether you need to keep the other crpe*DLL
files, try renaming them instead of deleting them, so you can
restore them if you find that something else breaks.
